DIRECTV MVP

This project was a redesign of DIRECTV'S MVP website which allows commercial customers (bars and restaurants) to view and purchase products exclusively designed and sold to them.

The redesign involved combining two different websites into one, restructuring the back end, redesigning the user experience and interface, as well as offering new features.

Some of the new features included a campaigns area that allows users to sign up for different campaign packages that help provide tools and information for promoting their businesses, a reports section with social media integration to allow users to track and receive tips on social media activity, and a dashboard for the DIRECTV Sports Bar Finder application to allow users to easily edit content and view customer activitywith the app for a more robust reporting experience.

Lowe's Build & Grow

Build and Grow is a program offered by Lowes to educate kids and bring families together by offering workshops where they can build kits together. Children also receive badges for each kit they build, which can be added to their Build and Grow apron to show of their accomplishments.

Through a complete redesign of the website, we were able to create a fully responsive website and improve the workshop registration process, purchasing of online kits, and offer new features to enhance the build and Grow experience. Such features included more robust accounts with virtual patch tracking and opportunities to connect with the Build and Grow community by enabling sharing through the website and posting images and content shared with the Build and Grow accounts across multiple social media platforms.

The Network - COX Code of Conduct

The Network is the leader in providing integrated governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions that help organizations mitigate risk, achieve compliance, and create more ethical workplaces. Established in 1982, The Network serves thousands of global organizations, in every industry, including nearly 50 percent of the Fortune 500, such as Coca-Cola, Google, Yahoo!, and more. One of their most popular offerings are their extensive Codes of Conducts that are designed and distributed as print piece or interactive PDF.

Being proactive, The Network asked clients for feedback and quickly learned that their print based approach was not as helpful as it could be to clients. Shortly after, they hired us to be strategic partners in helping create a responsive web-based approach that could offer more helpful tools than a print piece. After a couple strategy sessions and content reviews, the key goals and needs were identified. Plans were then set and new features such as videos, sharing, searching, translation, and more would now be offered.

Finally, COX Communications graciously gave The Network approval for their code of conduct to be used for the demo template. Based on their original print code and style guide we were able to analyze, organize, and lay out the content in a way that would be easier for users to read, interact with, and understand.

Allegheny Health Network

The Allegheny Health Network (AHN), formerly the West Penn Allegheny Health System (WPAHS) and owned by Highmark, is an academic medical center located in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. As the second-largest provider of healthcare in its region, AHN boasts seven hospitals, 78 outpatient care and diagnostic testing centers, 162 primary care offices, 4 urgent care centers, and 9 outpatient surgical centers within its system. Employing approximately 13,000 people with a medical staff of 2,726. The system offers 46 graduate medical programs, operates two nursing schools, and serves as a clinical campus for local medical schools.

Originally the Agency of Record for the former West Penn Allegheny Health System (WPAHS), we were elated when asked to create a new responsive website that would combine many separate systems and organizations into one cohesively branded online presence — as the newly formed — Allegheny Health Network (AHN).

Working closely with the logo and brand color creators, Joy acted as a brand consultant and helped expand the color palette to improve the brand’s appearance and how users experienced on digital screens. She also wore many hats such as a advisor on web content and organization, IA and UX Lead, Design Lead, and strategist.

SEE Eyewear

Long before Warby Parker, Coastal, Zenni Optical, and other well-known custom eyeglass companies, there was SEE Eyewear. Founded in 1998 by Richard Golden, founder of D.O.C. Optics Corp., SEE’s mission was and always has been to create high quality, leading edge eyewear at affordable prices; hence their slogan "hip without the rip."

With the growth of online eyeglass retailers, SEE requested help in redesigning their website to stay competitive. The first phase was create a compelling blog that would feature posts about their glasses, artists, fashion trends, and other topics of interest to their customers. Their goal in doing this was to become a voice/leader in their industry instead of just another retailer. The second phase would be the creation of an online retail shop.

The results of this project are unknown by Joy, as she switched jobs before the completion of phase one.

SWATCHA - The Point

SWACHA is a leading Electronic Payments Resource and is a recognized licensed  provider of ACH education, publications, and support. Its association has approximately 1,100 member financial institutions, businesses, and government agencies located in Texas, Louisiana, and New Mexico.

With a print focused audience, SWATCHA came to us to create an interactive PDF Template for their monthly member publication "The Point." Their goal was to ease members into using a document that could be looked through like a print piece, but also had a navigation for those accustomed to a website. In the end, the client was very pleased and the solution worked well for their current needs.

Claim Your Youth

The Credit Union Association of New Mexico created “Claim Your Youth” as a set of programs geared to help educate children and young adults about money, while also potentially gaining and retaining new members. Each award-winning program is targeted toward a different demographics of parents, kids, and teens and promotes the building of relationships between young people and their families.

We were hired to create a new brand and website for the over arching program that presented the sub-programs in a positive light and be appropriate for multiple age ranges. By incorporating elements of the credit union’s icon in the new logo and altering the color palette, we were able to successfully tie the brands together while creating a more fun feel for the kids.

Tadawul - Saudi Stock Exchange

Tadawul is the only stock exchange in Saudi Arabia. It is supervised by the Capital Market Authority and lists 169 publicly traded companies diversified over many different industries.

This required that the website be responsive, but also designed for both Arabic and English readers alike. The biggest challenges in this task were: insuring that the layout and design could easily accommodate variations in text length and height of different characters, the design would be pleasing to different cultures, and that the user experience would be optimal whether the user reads left-to-right (English) or right-to-left (Arabic).
